Water is not being taken into the coffee machine. Check if the water supply tap is open. Ensure the water container is correctly installed and filled. Check the water filter for blockage.
Too little water is being taken in. Ensure the water container is filled and properly installed. Check the water filter. Ensure water pressure is sufficient (for built-in models).
Manual cleaning of the brew unit is necessary. Remove the brew unit and rinse under running water without using cleaning agent. Ensure the coffee ejector is in the correct position.
The brew unit is unable to move into its start position. Remove and clean the brew unit under running water. Don't reinstall the unit, close the door and switch on machine to initialize the drive.
A fault has been detected in the brewing system. Switch off the coffee machine and disconnect from power for 2 minutes. Reconnect and try to start. If error persists, contact Miele Service.
Problem with heating system temperature sensors. Switch off machine and allow to cool for 1 hour. Room temperature must be above 60°F (15°C). If error repeats, service required.
